02-Parallel Talk

This little booklet introduces and illustrates how the simple technique of parallel talk, which essentially is a two – way conversation that the parent narrates (speaking for both parent and child) in any given situation helps communication between the parent and his or her nonspeaking child. It has been found to be very useful in eliciting the cooperation of the child while also stimulating language acquisition.
